I sort of realized that a lot of people get so irritated by the exaggeration of advertisements, like not only jobless people :O! Haha, yep, even the professionals in whatever it was, hate it when someone commercializes something that they know pretty well won't do what it does in the advertisement! confusing you ain't I ? =/ well I've criticized many of the exaggerated commercials, and I just saw this cartoon picture that criticizes all sorts of exaggeration so much better than I did :O ! Check it out :

this commercial pretty much makes fun of the drugs advertisements, specially the ones that state that certain drugs will solve all the issues in your life! It shows us how we started blindly believing doctors, in whatever medicine they describe to us, and we actually started going to doctors a lot more often than we needed to! So , our body has a higher percentage of drugs making it up than it has water! Anyhow, our believing to the doctors is represented to be "quacking" because we simply don't hesitate buying any heeling product after seeing its' "looking like scientifically proved" commercial.

Hilarious!

OKAY! I know this has nothing to do with my blog's topic, but i had to share it! So, just like any Friday night, my cousins came over my place for dinner, and so we were all sitting in the living room and I decided to tell them  about a funny story that happened with me the other day!

AND THIS IS WHERE I NOTICED THAT:

I phones and blackberries!
have smart phones invaded our lives?? I TOTALLY believe so! Everyone now owns at least one smart phone that they're carrying around with them all the time. Well this incident that happened to me was extremely odd! I am standing there and talking to all four of them, and each one of them is staring at whatever that screen of their phones carry for them! I bet that if I sent what I wanted to say through their phones they would've been more interested!! Actually smart phones have become a main factor of every person's life lately... It's so addictive that people started using it anytime, anywhere and for everything! They can google out whatever information they want to have, they can communicate with people through so many applications that I can't even memorize the names, and they can play games as well! So practically these inventions are replacing everything in our lives, whether it's educating, entertaining, informing, or communicating! I've always believed they had a great impact on us but today I was astonished when I saw that LITERALLY no body was listening to what i was saying! they totally disconnect us from the world! I'm starting to think it's sickness :O ! Do you agree with me? Or are you an addict too? =/

WORST COMMERCIALS EVER !

Sometimes, along with exaggerated advertisements comes the repetition of the idea of advertising a product, and that makes the consumers so uninterested in the commercial! Even more, it makes them move on to something else whenever it's on! And that is because of the typical way of advertising the same kind of product!
For example; the way of advertising detergents is just too typical and can always pop in anyone's mind whenever detergent commercials are brought up! It's always either comparison between two detergents, or asking people about their opinion with the product and getting the typical answer which has to include how perfect the product is! But the worst are the ones that show you how the product is scientifically proved to be the best, when just another company of another detergent is also displaying the same thing!

Let's watch some videos of these typical and exaggerated boring commercials:

for example when I've seen this commercial I'm like WOW seriously? you guys didn't miss any of the boring techniques right there! They have perfectly included: a person's opinion about their own detergent, then compared it to the "ariel" detergent, then showed the scientific proof! Isn't it just ridiculous?!

Just had to share! They totally piss me off ! :S

The most irritating sort of exaggeration!

This is a commercial of a Loreal mascara modeled by Penelope Cruz. Mascara advertising is one of the most irritating kind of false advertising for me! what the advertisers do is: get a pretty model, apply fake lashes OR digitally edit the video so that the model would look like she has extremely thick, dark, and long lashes! and then  the costumers would believe so and buy it! And this is my worst sort of exaggeration in advertising cause it actually applies on me, I always buy mascaras that look so perfect in commercials and they always turn out to be so different! So this is what I think is the "believable" exaggeration that shouldn't be done.

Why do commercials exaggerate? (Essay)

Exaggerated Images in Advertising

As mentioned in this essay, advertisers only want to sell their product in however way it could be done. Exaggeration is one of the techniques they use to sell their products! But apparently it could be used either heavily; which would be smart, or slightly; which would be close to reality that the costumer would think it's real. I personally don't have any experience about ways of advertising, but after reading this essay I understand why the slightly exaggerating advertisements never attract the costumer! Well we actually make fun of them most of the times! In fact the advertisements that slightly exaggerate are the reason I chose this subject for my blog, because such things drive the costumer extremely mad or even to raise a case against the company of the product being sold.

Never Say No To Panda Cheese!

Exaggeration in advertisement doesn’t always have to be a bad thing or lying about results, it can also be funny! For example in this video, the advertisement shows that when the buyer doesn’t agree for buying “panda cheese”, or eating it, some random panda pops out of nowhere and sort of ruins the person’s day ! the video is extremely funny and worth watching, in a way or another the advertisement makes you want to buy the product because it gave you a good laugh! I think it is a very smart way for advertising products, despite the fact that it is exaggerated.
